From the Fremont Area Writers Newsletter:
"Author Evelyn LaTorre gave two presentations in Sacramento where she talked about her memoir, Between Inca Walls. The evening of Friday, April 24, twenty members of Washington Commons Cohousing gathered to hear about Evelyn's exploits in the Peace Corps and ask questions. A comment between two of the attendees: 'Do you think Evelyn knows how entertaining her presentation is?' "The morning of April 25, thirty educators welcomed her at the DKG Northern California Conference held at Sacramento State University. She was the guest speaker at the "Meet the Author" session. Many attendees purchased Evelyn's books."

On April 24 I'm speaking at the Washington Commons Cohousing Group in Sacramento. I'll be speaking about how my memoir writing has benefited me, how it can be a pathway to recall a forgotten past and lead to greater understanding of oneself and those who have played key roles in ones life.
On April 25th I'll be speaking at the DKG International Educators North Regional Conference, also in Sacramento, for a Meet-the-Author session. |
